How to Prep Your Nails
-
1. Start with clean, bare nails
Wash your hands thoroughly and dry them completely. Make sure nails are free of polish, oil, and lotion.
-
2. Shape & gently push back cuticles
Use the Nail file to trim and file to your desired shape. Gently push back cuticles with the wooden stick.
-
3. Clean with alcohol wipe
Wipe each nail with an alcohol wipe (Prep Pad) to remove dust and natural oils.
This step is essential for long-lasting wear.
How to Apply
-
1. Choose the right size
Pick a strip that fits your nail from side to side.
If you’re in between sizes, always size down for a better seal.
Avoid direct sunlight when applying — the strips will cure in the sun before you get the chance to apply them.
-
2. Peel & place
Remove the clear protective film. Place the strip slightly away from the cuticle and press it onto the nail.
-
3. Press firmly
Smooth from the center outward. Press firmly along the edges and cuticle line to secure the strip.
-
4. Trim excess
Fold the extra strip over the nail tip and trim using scissors or nail clippers.
-
5. Let it cure with light
Heyhae gel strips cure naturally when exposed to light.
- Sunlight:
Place your nails under sunlight for a few minutes. Curing time may vary depending on location, time of day, and UV index.
For best results, a UV index of 3+ is recommended.
- LED lamp (optional):
If you’re applying at night or in gloomy weather, you can use an LED lamp for 30 seconds to help speed up the curing process. If the strips don’t feel fully hardened after 30 seconds, cure for a few more seconds until set.
-
6. File downward to smooth
File in one direction only (downward) to refine the edge and smooth the finish.
Keep remaining strips in the pouch after use and store away from direct sunlight to prevent premature curing.
How to Remove
-
1. Gently lift from the side
Use a wooden stick to gently lift one side of the strip and create a small gap between the strip and your nail.
-
2. Apply Heyhae’s Got to Go Remover
Add a few drops of remover into the gap.
Let it soak for 30–60 seconds to break down the adhesive.
-
3. Slowly release the strip
Gently slide the wooden stick under the strip, allowing the adhesive to loosen.
Add more remover as needed.
Never force or rip.
Take your time and patiently separate the strip from your natural nail.
