This week, we aim to showcase the diverse talents that are passionate about this community! We hope to highlight semi-cured gel nail enthusiasts monthly to support and promote the artistry that makes this community so special. These creators share their journey in using semi-cured gel nail strips and why they can’t go back to the nail salon.

“Unlike some, I’ve always preferred doing my nails myself instead of heading to a salon. While regular polish sufficed for special occasions, it never lasted for daily wear, and liquid gel felt too complicated.
Then, during the pandemic, I discovered Ohora - a semi-cured gel nails brand. This semi-cured gel wrap idea swooped in like a glittering superhero, rescuing my nails from the depths of boredom! Such a game changer! Well, to be honest, it wasn’t as effortless as I initially imagined. It took some practice to achieve the desired results, but it was still much easier than dealing with liquid gel and yielded better results than polish.
I started casually sharing my nail experiments on Instagram in early 2023, and it unexpectedly evolved into a hobby. As I’ve explored different brands, HeyHae’s product quality has really stood out to me. Their wraps’ quality, sizing, designs, and packaging are all above my expectations. It felt like stumbling upon a new favorite piece of jewelry – stylish, comfortable, and incredibly user-friendly. I’m really excited for more fun designs from HeyHae in the future!”

“I started my nail journey when the pandemic hit. At the time I just gave birth to my youngest child. To battle my postpartum depression I decided to do my nails as self-care. I first tried press-on nails which were easy to apply but I always got multiple pops off after I changed diapers. I also tried regular nail wraps, I didn't like the sticker look on my nails. After some research, I decided to try semi-cured gel nails, and it was the best decision I have ever made. They are easy to apply, and the sizes can be adjusted by trimming and stretching. Once cured, the finish is salon-like and will last up to 3 weeks. Also, no acetone soaking during removal is a huge plus.
During 4 years of using SCGs, I expanded my hobby to nail arts. That doesn’t mean I quit using SCGs. I love to use SCGs as a base for my creations. SCGs allow me to have healthy and strong long nails. I have tried many SCGs brands. HeyHae is a brand that stands out from other competitors. Their designs are always unique and beautiful! Strips are very pliable and easy to apply. Each set comes with 28 strips and the sizes are perfect for me to do two manicures. The best part is affordable prices. I am very happy I found Heyhae, cannot wait to see more pretty designs in the future.”

“I love the thought of saving time and money by doing nails at home. I used nail polish for years, but disliked the drying time and chipping. I was suggested stick-on nail polish wraps on Facebook, which led me to discover gel nail strips. That was the start of me joining the online nail community. Wanting a space to look back on the nails I’ve applied, I eventually created an Instagram and later a TikTok account to showcase them.
I enjoy doing nail art, and semi-cured gels are the perfect canvas for it. They are my favorite at-home nail enhancement by far. With proper prep and application, they provide strength and durability similar to gel at a salon. After trying out several brands (Ohora, Zinipin, Dashing Diva, to name a few) over the course of two years, Heyhae has become a top favorite. They were some of the easiest to apply and remove with no damage. They are beginner-friendly, long lasting, of good quality, and offer lots of cute designs. I was also impressed by how quickly they cured under my nail lamp, which isn’t necessary since they can be cured in the sun. I think that could be convenient for traveling. I’ve had such a positive experience with gel strips and will continue to use them as a base for nail art.”
